Booking your first lash lift and wondering how much time to set aside? Knowing your lash lift appointment time in advance makes it much easier to plan around work or your day.
Here’s a breakdown of how long a lash lift and a lash lift and tint take at our salon, plus what happens during your appointment.
Your Lash Lift Appointment Time: What to Expect

・Lash lift only: around 1 hour
・Lash lift and tint: around 1 hour 15 minutes
If it’s your first visit, please add the free consultation add-on when you book. This gives us time to properly assess your lashes and talk through what you’d like, so you can feel confident about your appointment.
What Happens During Your Appointment

1. Consultation (around 5 to 10 minutes)
We’ll take a look at your eye shape and the current condition of your lashes, and talk through the look you’re after, whether that’s a natural curl or something more lifted. We take a bit of time here so there are no surprises later. Every set of lashes is different, so getting this right upfront makes a real difference to how happy you are with the result.
Your natural lashes also move through their own growth cycle, and understanding this can help make sense of what we discuss during your consultation. >>Click here to learn more about the eyelash growth cycle.
2. Prep (around 5 minutes)
We tape your lower lashes to protect the skin and get everything ready for the treatment.
3. Treatment (around 35 to 45 minutes, plus about 10 minutes if you’re adding a tint)
We choose from dozens of different rods to suit your eye shape and lash condition. Even with the same “lash lift,” the rod we choose can make a real difference to how the result looks. Once the rod is in place, the solution needs time to work on reshaping your lashes. If you’re having a lash lift and tint, the colour is applied during this same step, which is why it takes a little longer.
4. Finishing Touches (around 5 to 10 minutes)
We finish with a coating treatment to add moisture, shine and strength. You’re welcome to head straight out afterwards, so it’s easy to fit in before an appointment or event.
To help your results last as long as possible, we’d suggest keeping the following in mind for the rest of the day:
・Avoid getting your lashes wet or rubbing them
・Skip eye makeup for the day
・Try not to sleep face down, since this can put pressure on your lashes

Why Does Appointment Time Vary Between Salons?
You might notice that some salons offer a lash lift in 30 minutes, while ours takes closer to an hour. This mostly comes down to the solution being used.
There are two main types of lash lift solution available. One works faster, and the other is gentler on your natural lashes. We choose the gentler option, which takes a little longer but is kinder to your lashes over time.
Timing the solution correctly also matters. The same amount of time can affect lashes differently depending on their condition, and getting this right is what determines both how well the curl holds and how healthy your lashes stay afterwards. This is something our master lash artist has fine-tuned over several hundred lash lifts a year.
Your appointment time can also shift a little depending on your lash density and what you’re hoping to achieve. If it’s your first visit, we may spend a bit more time on your consultation, and that’s time well spent for a result you’ll be happy with.
If Your Appointment Runs a Little Over
Every so often, your lashes might need a bit more time than expected. If that happens, we’ll let you know, for example with something like “we’ll need about ten more minutes,” so please feel free to mention if you have somewhere to be afterwards.
You Can Relax During Your Appointment

You’re welcome to simply close your eyes and unwind. We’ll have relaxing music playing so you can enjoy some downtime while we work.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is a lash lift painful?
No, it shouldn’t hurt. You might feel a light pressure on your eyelids, but that’s about it.
Q. Can I wear makeup straight after my lash lift?
We’d recommend skipping eye makeup for the rest of the day to avoid irritating your lashes. You can go back to your usual routine from the next day.
Q. How often should I come in?
Everyone’s lashes grow at a slightly different pace, but we generally recommend booking in every 6 to 8 weeks.
Good to Know Before You Book
You’re welcome to come in wearing your eye makeup. If you’re coming straight from work, we’ll ask you to remove it in our bathroom before we start, so it’s worth allowing a little extra time for this.
